Whether you’re a seasoned pro or picking up a brush for the first time, this evening is about more than just canvas—it’s about the "peaceful escape" found in the colors of the dusk sky. We’ll be spending three hours replicating a stunning, celestial-inspired abstract sunset that explores the beauty and mystery of the infinite universe.
As the original inspiration suggests, painting the stars and sky allows us to contemplate "infinite possibilities" while leaving the complexities of everyday life behind. Come for the art, stay for the tranquility, and leave with a masterpiece of your own.
You will walk away with more than just a finished canvas. Here are a few artistic skills You’ll develop during the session:
Dynamic Impasto Brushwork: You'll learn how to use rhythmic, swirling brushstrokes—much like Van Gogh’s signature style—to create a sense of movement and energy in the sky and foreground.
Color Blending & Layering: We will explore how to layer contrasting colors (like the bold oranges against the cool blues) to create a glowing "abstract sunset" effect without the colors becoming muddy.
Structural Silhouetting: You’ll practice the technique of "negative space" and bold outlining to create the dark, dramatic silhouette of the tree, providing a strong focal point against the colorful, whimsical background.
For beginners and intermediate skill levels.
All materials will be included.
